ASPECTS OF THE “DARK” IN DAVID ALBAHARI’S DARK AND PAUL AUSTER’S MAN IN THE DARK

The idea of the paper is to demonstrate different aspects “dark” which occur as a central concept in two novels written by Serbian writer David Albahari (Dark) and his colleague from USA, Paul Auster (Man Dark). In introductory part writers are presented, with emphasis on various similarities exist between them. contains overview both novels, well comparative analysis conceptual use each novel. visible at three levels, where first level marks lives narrators they tell their stories, second related political situations narrators’ (and writers’) countries, while third refers personal losses (death loved ones) characterise determine fates many ways. final investigates treating together partially relying trauma theory.
